Macramé

Inspired by the versatility of macramé, I decided to incorporate one of the
raw materials I have on hand: raw silk from Thailand.This specific type of silk is often considered the lowest quality type of silk due to its high sericin content, unpredictable yarn size, hardness, and yellow-gold color, which is difficult to dye, this silk lacks the softness of conventional silk.

As I began working with macramé, I realized this technique could highlight the unique qualities of raw silk. Its strength helps maintain the shape of the bag, while its frizzy texture adds an intriguing and tactile element. The result is a compelling contrast that invites touch and showcases the silk's potential in a new aspect.
